Sundarbans, the largest block of tidal mangrove forest of halophytes in the world located in the southern part of Bangladesh. Located in the delta of the Ganges-Brahmaputra at the point where it joins the Bay of Bengal. Kuakata is a panaromic sea seashore on the southernmost tip of Bangladesh. Located in the Patuakhali area, Kuakata has a large sandy beach starting where one can see both the sunup and sunset. It is on 320 Kilometers south of Dhaka, the capital, and about 70 Kilometers from the ward command center. The Kuakata beach is 30 km lengthy and 6 km wide. On the eastern end of the coast is Gongamati held in reserve jungle, an evergreen mangrove forest and morsel of the inventive Kuakata. The local names of the island are "Narical Gingira", also spelled "Narikel Jinjira/Jinjera", which means 'Coconut Island' in Bengali, and "Daruchini Dip". It is the only coral island in Bangladesh.
