Sonargaon - The
Golden Village
Sonargaon
which profits the "golden village", is a famous township placed on 25
lan. south-east of Dhaka, Bangladesh's principal. It is commonly said that
"Subamagram", the further name of the place, had existed starting the
time of Pal and Deva Kings who had used it as their clerical town. Isha Khan,
the Masnad-I-Ala, had also built his army headquarter here. At that time,
Sonargaon was twisted with Aminpur, Panam, Goaldi and Mogra village. It became
a famous centre of administration, trade, industry and customs in the 13th
century. Historians and travelers during the ages have referred to this great
township. Today, Sonargaon has befall one of the attractive tourist destination
in Bangladesh. Hundreds of tourists commencing quarters and out of the country holiday
this place everyday.....................
